Thing to consider:
If you know someone who struggled/is struggling with disordered eating of any kind, and they decide that they feel comfortable with mentioning any kind of eating habit or event involving food that does not fit in with their usual routines, they are exposing a part of themselves that could very easily be damaged. Your reaction should not be to mock, criticize, or otherwise shit on what they’ve told you, because there’s a very good chance that you could deeply hurt them by doing this. If someone typically restricts how much they take in, and they talk about eating a lot or you see them eating more than usual, don’t fucking point it out or tell them that they have no self control or anything along those lines. I don’t care if you personally have dealt with disordered eating, that doesn’t give you an excuse to behave harmfully towards others.
The person already fucking knows how out of the ordinary for them it is or how “bad” it is. They don’t need to be reminded. And hey guess what you know what can easily happen when you do this? It can severely upset the person and push them back to disordered eating or even further into it.
Don’t fucking do this kthnx

No, I get what you’re saying, but it seems like a lot of feminists assume there is only one kind of inequality. Like yes, I support feminism to an extent. Sometimes I think people take it too far but there are always radical people in any organization. But a lot of people forget there is still racial inequality and other gender inequalities and even cultural inequalities. I’m not saying that feminism is bad in any way. I’m just saying that just because someone says they’re a feminist and someone responds with “Why can’t we have equality” does not necessarily mean that they are describing feminism alone. They could be saying equality for everyone no matter what color, culture, gender, sexual orientation, you name it. Sometimes y’all just get so caught up in yourselves and it kinda brings down the idea of what you actually stand for. Hopefully that makes more sense. If not, ask away please.
Here’s the thing though, any feminist who understands inequality on a broad spectrum is one who will be actively fighting not only gender inequality, but racial, cultural, and more. You automatically assuming that feminists want to make everything about gender is actually really shortsighted, because when you’re talking about gender inequality, there are many other factors that play into each individual’s experience, and feminists who recognize that are aware that race and other inequalities are just as important. Feminists prioritize gender in their discussions because it causes some of the biggest inequalities in their lives and the lives of those around them. White feminists typically don’t talk about racial issues because they themselves are never effected by them, and they don’t think about it as a result. Kinda similar to how you don’t ever really think about gender issues, because they don’t effect your life in any impacting way. If you really think that racial inequality is something that people should be focusing on, then I hope to see more posts from you in the future where you’re calling out people who are blatantly disregarding racial issues or saying racist things.
